OLEA LINDFIELD IS THE NORTH SHORE’S STUNNING NEW DINING DESTINATION

October 20, 2022

The café bar and bistro is a beautiful space open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the new Lindfield Village Green

The modern design of Olea Lindfield stands out immediately, and it’s the perfect accompaniment to the venue’s delicious food and drink offering that has people talking.

Olea may have only opened to customers in June but already locals are raving about the space, and its been listed as a finalist in the 2022 Eat Drink Design Awards.

Housed in the eye-catching new copper building at the Lindfield Village Green, the colour palette and textures are warm and inviting, creating a perfect space to enjoy the wide range of food and drinks on offer for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

It’s a concept from hospitality veterans Lisa Dolores and Jesus Estevez.

“We set out to create a high-end fit-out that felt casual and accessible to all and functioned as a full-service Mediterranean-inspired cafe, bistro and bar,” Jesus said.

Lisa is a life-long North Shore local, and was searching for the perfect venue to create Olea when Ku-ring-gai Council announced it was looking for a special hospitality venue for the new Lindfield Village Green.

“Hours of planning went into the application, from branding and interior design to budgets and operations and cuisine concepts, menu drafts and tastings,” she said.

The result is a stylish high-end fit out from design team Guru Projects that serves the community in a fresh and exciting way.

“Two key design features were a must in our space; our ceiling and bar, both of which use curves, levels and texture to draw the eye up and around and soften the overall look and feel of the space. The venue will provide a sense of place for customers and employees and is designed for people to connect in the community in which they live.”

The name – Olea – speaks to Lisa’s and Jesus’s European – Australian heritage and approach to the food and service. It means ‘olive’ which reflects the venue’s green surrounds and the core ingredient used across the Mediterranean-inspired menu, created by Jesus, an Executive Chef of almost 3 decades.

Breakfast features old favourites with a modern twist, from healthy breakfast bowls to ricotta hotcakes with banana and whipped honeycomb butter. If you’re after savoury items, try the zucchini and celeriac fritters served with yellow beetroot salad and house made hummus or Spanish baked eggs.

The lunch menu includes pasta such as fresh spaghetti limone, crispy skin barramundi, and steak, with lighter salad options or a hearty range of paninis packed with meatballs and porcetta.

And there’s a charcuterie bar, where you can share some cheese and meats and a glass of wine or beer with friends.

Olea has recently opened for dinner and the menu features European-inspired tapas, share dishes, small plates, and a curated cocktail and wine list.

Surrounded by wide open spaces of green grass, it’s also a great spot to try Olea’s signature cocktail, a glass of wine or a cold pressed juice.

For those looking to make the most of the new accessible community space with undercover car parking with family, you can grab a takeaway coffee and choose from a selection of sweet baked treats from Brickfields Bakery.

Give Olea a visit, you won’t be disappointed!
