Designed by Guru

Having won the council tender to open in 2022, Team Olea set about creating a chic space to congregate with friends and family over great food and drinks.

We set out to create a high-end fit-out that felt casual and accessible to all and functioned as a full-service Mediterranean-inspired cafe, bistro and bar.

Needing to work with the best, we called in the services Guru Projects, hospitality design specialists who have created beautiful venue spaces, including Sunset Diner, Hello Auntie 2.0, Arthur, Centennial Homestead, Nel, Ezra, and so many more.

The colour palette creates a sense of light and space during the day and at night and provides warmth and intimacy for our customers. Peach, clay and olive, complimented by brass and copper, bring sophistication already established by the council’s beautiful bronze building in the Village Green.

Using high-end marbles and brass, warm woods, leather and glass, the talented designers pulled together an overall look and feel reflective of our owner’s tastes and vision.

With a focus on our ceiling and bar, the use of curves, levels and texture drawer visitors’ eyes up and around and softens the overall look and feel of the space.

From day 1, the concepts presented exceeded our expectations, and throughout the project, Guru’s team supported our selections, from seating, to tiles, storage and decor.

The end product? A space we are so proud to host our local patrons.

Thanks go to the team at Guru Projects for breathing life into our concept and delivering our dream venue space.

Our customers and community are loving their new space to connect and congregate.
